Mambo on the Piste Comes to Morzine!

After three successful ‘Mambo on the Piste’ events in Chamonix over the last few years, in February 2017 we’ll be taking Mambo to the slopes of Morzine!

Morzine is fast becoming the most popular ski and snowboarding destination in the French Alps. Located in the heart of the incredible Portes du Soleil ski area, boasting 426 kilometres of pistes, Morzine is a cool, vibrant town, with masses going on to attract every Winter Sports enthusiast.

From Morzine, you can easily access some of the best snowparks in the Alps, with runs suited to every level of ski or boarding ability. Morzine and Les Gets are havens for beginners, with some awesome, tree-lined runs. From the centre of Morzine, you have three main access points to the high-altitude and snow-sure runs of Avoriaz.

Morzine is a really buzzing resort, with a brilliant choice of shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. The Town Square hosts some incredible music events throughout the season, and there are regular markets and other cultural events that add to the friendly community vibe.

From the 8th to the 11th of February, Mambo on the Piste will be hosted from the Rude Lodge, which is an innovative new concept in affordable ski and snowboarding accommodation. Previously known as Le Laurys hotel, this heritage venue has been a Morzine favourite for decades. Now, with a cool and modern make-over by the teams at Rude Chalets and Mambo, the Rude Lodge is the destination in town for lovers of Winter sports.

The sleeping accommodation is arranged across twin and triple rooms plus 4 and 6 bed dorms, all with modern en-suite facilities. The ground floor has a friendly and welcoming bar and café, serving craft beers, cocktails and a tasty ‘street-food’ inspired menu, plus delicious breakfasts to set you up for a day on the slopes.

Throughout the Mambo on the Piste event, we’ll be hosting a pre-party at Café Chaud, in the centre of Morzine. Café Chaud is one of the coolest venues in town, where some of the biggest weekly parties are hosted throughout the season.

We’ll be hosting the Mambo on the Piste Main Event at Happy Hours, which is the biggest and best apres-ski venue in the French Alps. Located at the bottom of Ardent, below the Lindarets ski area, Happy Hours has a reputation for throwing the wildest and most fun apres-ski parties you will ever experience. As its position is right by the lifts as you come down off the mountain, it is impossible to pass by Happy Hours without joining in the party! (If only to see their DJ booth, which is inspired by the Millenium Falcon – we kid you not!)

Then on to the after party at Le Paradis nightclub – the oldest and most decadent nightclub in Morzine, conveniently located beneath the Rude Lodge, so you don’t have to go too far to get to your bed! This ‘Tiki’ inspired den of iniquity has played host to some of the best parties in Morzine since the 70’s. It’s kind of like the ‘Studio 54’ of Morzine, but now with music from a mix of the best French DJ’s and some awesome ‘pop-up’ sets from the cream of Ibiza DJ’s who drop in from the White Isle throughout the Winter season.

Prices starting at 530€pp. Inquire with Rude Chalets to book now!
