Claptone brings his Masquerade to Cafe Mambo!
2019 is a big year for Mambo Ibiza. Not least because we’re celebrating 25 glorious years of watching sunsets and dancing on this beautiful Balearic rock, but also because this summer we’ve lined up some of our best pre-party residencies to date. Last week’s opening party saw us usher in the new season with an absolutely colossal bang and now we’re raring to get started, so grab your shuffling shoes and join us on the rocks as we continue with out most monumental year to date with some of the biggest names in electronic music.
First up on the regular weekly roster is the gold-mask wearing, tech house touting, eternally enigmatic individual known as Claptone, who this summer is fronting his first ever residency at Pacha every Monday night. The Masquerade kicks into gear on Monday 27 May, which means the main man will warm up his twiddling skills at Mambo prior to his big residency debut. You can then expect appearances from him and a slew of other guest DJs every Monday night in San Antonio right through till 30 September. Don’t expect him to throw off the mask, but do expect to be part of a magical musical tour that’ll stick in your memories for a lifetime.
Elsewhere and it’s the turn of UK-based party, Abode, to stake a claim on the Thursday night slot. Hands down one of the most popular clubbing brands on the scene at the moment, Abode holds a Thursday night residency at Amnesia where the team is set to take over the entire club on a weekly basis, starting on 6 June — no mean feat. The likes of Alan Fitzpatrick, East End Dubs, Cassy, Skream, Steve Lawler and Erick Morillo have already been announced as part of the line-ups so expect a varied crew in attendance at Mambo each and every week till the closing party on Thursday 26 September. We’re expecting big crowds for this one, so make sure you’re there to make your mark.
So there you have it, two monumental weekly residencies ready to propel Mambo even further into the history books. You bring yourselves, we’ll bring the hierbas, let’s make this a summer to remember.
