Top tunes for summer so far
We’re just about midway through the season here in Ibiza and so far its been a belter of a year — not only because its our 30th anniversary (cards, presents and shots of hierbas welcome!) and we’ve been partying every night in celebration, but also because it’s been one of the best years we can remember for solid, quality tunes.
One after another the bangers have been blowing up at the island’s famous clubs, and we’ve been giving them plenty of spins here at Mambo, too. With all that in mind, we gave our legendary resident DJs a shout to find out what tracks have defined the Ibiza 2024 season so far. Speakers up! Here’s what they had to say…
DJ Doctor Feelgood
Different, ‘A Little Closer’ — already an anthem, there’s no dance floor this tune hasn’t touched.
Marlon Hoffstadt, ‘It's That Time (FISHER Remix)’ — a mashup between the modern day daddy of trance and Oz’s hottest export. Doesn’t get bigger than that.
Ryan McDermott
Eddie Amador, ‘House Music (Riva Starr Mo' Disco 2.5 Club Remix)’ — name a better track for a sunshine-fuelled sesh.
Franky Wah, ‘Stolen Glances ft. Låpsley’ — emotive and sultry as hell, the man can do no wrong.
Paul Darey
Disclosure, ’She’s Gone, Dance On’ — the boys are back with soulful, sunshine groove.
Audiojack, ‘Get Down’ — wait for the drop.
Andy Baxter
Tuccillo, ‘Runaway’ — the island-based Italian delivers a dose of jacking Chicago house.
Ruze, ‘Futur’ — murky and woozy and oh-so-good.
