Café Mambo x Absolut DJ Competition 2023

Buckle up, budding DJs, because the annual Café Mambo DJ competition is back with a bang this summer and we’re on the hunt for a chill-out champion who can soundtrack the perfect Balearic sunset on our behalf! In partnership with Absolut, we’re offering the chance for one lucky mixing maestro to fly to Ibiza with a friend to play the set of a lifetime from within our iconic booth. Picture the scene: excitable ravers lining the terrace as you spin the tunes; pink-tinged sky as the backdrop; applause as the giant egg-yolk orb slips beneath the horizon. Moments don’t come any bigger than this, it’ll stay in your memory forever.  

So, if you’ve ever clinked glasses at Café Mambo while thinking, I know exactly what tune I’d play as the sun goes down; if you’ve ever sat in your bedroom putting together a set while picturing Ibiza in your mind; or if you’ve ever spun a set so magically laid-back it transports people to a different world, now’s your time!  

Entering is simple and a must for all blossoming chill-out DJs.

We plan on listening to every single set and once we’ve picked a lucky, talented winner, we’ll whisk them over to Ibiza for the trip of a lifetime. The trip includes:  

• The priceless opportunity to play a set during the legendary Mambo sunset slot in either September or October 2023 (imagine yourself up there!) 
• Return flights within Europe (up to 500EUR) for you and a friend (they’ll owe you big time!) 

• VIP transfer to and from the airport (that’s how we roll) 
• Daily brekkie with us here at Café Mambo  
• Up to three nights in Grupo Mambo accommodation (superstar DJ style) 
• Access to Las Mimosas Boutique Hotel & Spa (so you can relax after your big moment) 
• A DJ masterclass with one of Mambo’s resident DJs (keep learning; keep growing)  

• Livestream of the winner’s set online (so everyone at home can watch)  

Competition closes on 31 August and the winner will be announced by 18 September, so don’t delay, get working on those mixes now. We recommend listening to some of our resident DJs’ sets for inspo, which you can find here XXX, or if you’re feeling really confident, just do your own thing!
